Nero Burning ROM is a time-tested app that allows you undertake whatever media creation you need. With it, you can burn CDs, DVDs and Blu Ray discs on your Windows PC.
Nero has been around since 1997, and it has evolved in line with users’ changing demands over the last two decades. The latest version supports several incarnations of Windows, from Windows 7 right through to Windows 10. The product’s developers claim that it supports every make and model of disc burner on the planet. However, Nero Burning ROM does not include the extensive media management features of their other products such as Nero Platinum.
Nero Burning ROM can be used to create ISOs, or disk images, to optical media, including bootable copies for operating system disks. The software can also burn the high-definition Blu-Ray format, as well as its predecessor, DVD. Nero Burning ROM also supports AVCHD, a format developed primarily for camcorders.
Key Features include:
- Rip/b> Convert audio files to the required format accurately and at lightning speed. It supports numerous formats including MP3, MP3 PRO through AAC and FLAC to APE, and it has built-in Gracenote technology as well.
- Copy Copy CDs, DVDs and Blu-ray Discs with quality and sound that match the original.
- BurnSupports CD, DVD, or Blu-ray Disc Create ISO images or burn your Video Disc structures and disc images to new media. The Gracenote technology allows you to have original album art on MP3 CDs and MP3 DVDs for your car audio system.
- Protect Nero uses SecurDisc 4.0 technology to ensure your files are kept as secure as possible. With industry-standard 256-bit encryption, digital signature and password protection, no unauthorised access is allowed to your burned data archive.
Nero Burning ROM is not a simple disc burning app, and beginners will find the interface a little overwhelming. Nero makes no apologies for this, since it’s advanced users who come back to the Nero brand. DiscSpan (file splitting), over-burning and AirBurn (burning to disc straight from an iOS or Android mobile device) are the kinds of features that experienced users come to rely on. That having been said, there is a great deal the beginner can do with this extensive suite, and the less experienced user should at least try out the software and see what it can do for them.
